It’s a customizable collection of over 350 different maps. With nearly endless possibilities, WonderMaps makes it easy to regularly integrate map study into a variety of lessons and make the most of every learning opportunity.
WonderMaps are beautifully constructed, computer accessible, and customizable. There is a layering feature which allows the user to select how much information is displayed on a selected map. This feature is great to allow you to make maps for your child to fill in on their own or to make map tests. The Teacher's Guide section is full of so much information and suggestions for lessons and projects that I haven't come even close to applying all of the information. Maps are categorized in either eight general categories or by curriculum. The general categories are: The World: Continents, Regions, Nations; United States of
America; Historical Maps; and Thematic Maps. These four categories are also categorized either by alphabetical order, chronological order, or theme. The curriculum categories are designed for The Mystery of History curriculum and All American History Curriculum. We have been completely intrigued by the color and available detail of these maps. We will be integrating them in a huge way in our World Geography studies next year. At $49.95, WonderMaps is an amazing value. Bright Ideas Press will be periodically releasing updates / upgrades to these maps so as to keep users current. That is a big plus! Imagine not having to purchase new map books when your maps become obsolete. The over 350 maps in this collection are more than most school programs of any kind will ever need.
