For those who know me well, this is no surprise. I am a bonafide science geek. So, in light of that fact, let me take a moment to wish you all a very happy mole day. Celebrated between 6:02 a.m. and 6:02 p.m. on 10-23 each year, this special day gives recognition to the little known conversion factor used in Chemistry to equate the number of atoms or molecules of a substance with a tangible quantity. The mole is a unit, just like the dozen, the gaggle, the class, and the team are units. Did you celebrate? My chemistry co-op class celebrated by doing a "S'more Stoichiometry" activity, complete with making S'mores for a treat afterwards. Have fun with it! It's Moletacular!!
